At Jimily's Carving Essentials, we pride ourselves on sourcing the finest tupelo wood directly from the heart of southern Louisiana. Our wood is true South Louisiana swamp tupelo, is harvested by some great Cajun workers and are supervised by me. In my younger days, I would get in the swamp pulling my pirogue cutting the trees myself. My heart is willing, however, my body & wife will not allow me to do so any longer. But, the work I do with my 2 Grizzley Bandsaws, cutting blocks and cut outs for you, my customers, is hard and yes grueling work that I absolutely LOVE doing for you; to provide the BEST carving wood in the world! I understand the delicate balance of the swamp ecosystem. By working closely with these communities, we ensure that our sourcing methods support local economies and preserve the natural beauty of the region.
